LDWRIMO
July 1st - August 1st
First there was NANOWRIMO (National Novel Writing Month), then there was LDWRIMO (Lemon-Drops Writing Month). During the month of July, we're challenging members to write 50, 000 coherent words of prose or poetry. The point of the exercise is to stretch yourself to produce something, then worry about editing later. It's helpful for writers who need a little motivation to just get something down on the page. Winners (you're battling your own limits, not anyone else's xD) will receive site currency and an award. For the rules (they're old, but still apply), click here. Monthly Prompt Contest
August 1st - September 1st
The Monthly Prompt contest involves members responding to either a picture or phrase prompt choosen by myself or Vetiver. Entries should be submitted to me via u2u. At the end of the month, a voting thread will be made. To keep things fair, they entries will be presented anonymously. The entry that garners the most votes will earn its writer shop points and an award. Click here for the rules. There is no prompt contest for July, as we're busy with LDWriMo.
